Would you like an opportunity to work for a leading poverty fighting organization that is making a real difference in the world? The Program Advisor based in Nyala , Sudan , will be required to probe issues that affect program and broadens skills necessary to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate Livelihoods intentions. S/He will be required to impart knowledge and skills to project staff necessary to design and manage local community livelihoods projects. In addition, S/He will ensure enterprise creation through IGA, Agriculture and natural resource management, disaster mitigation and environmental issues addressed in the project intervention. The incumbent will also lead the process of exploring potential areas for further programme development in the region. S/He will ensure that projects engage local stakeholders and develop local capacity for longer term sustainability. Requirements: · Bachelors degree in Agriculture/ Water Resources engineering, Agriculture, or a related development field. · Over four years management experience in development programmes including infrastructure rehabilitation, sub-granting or food security/ livelihoods programmes – both Relief and Development At least 5 years experience in implementing humanitarian food aid programs and proven skill in coordinating or managing the emergency response during the disaster. · Excellent communication, presentation, diplomacy, and facilitation skills · Excellent report writing ability · Proven knowledge on staff safety and situation analysis on security. · Development Programming, Knowledge of CARE procedures and Leadership skills, Budget management, Communication with impact; Patience and Resilience to operate in a complex and stressful environment; · Initiative and analytical/problem solving skills, proficiency in use of computer (MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc) and general telecommunication facilities .
