Position Summary The Licensing Specialist (LS) is responsible for the preparation of legal documents related to Crown Castle Licenses, MLA’s, SLA’s and other related documents. The overall quality, timeliness, and accuracy of the legal documents developed by the Licensing Specialist are of significant importance in this position. Adherence to the License Development Process and Procedures allows the LS to provide complete and accurate documentation. The LS is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining good working relationships with internal areas contacts. As problems are recognized, the Licensing Specialist will promptly and effectively resolve issues through various methods. Major Responsibilities Prepare License/Amendment contracts assigned through License Request Form (LRF) to the completed SLA, TLA, Amendment/Memorandum documents adhering to License Development guidelines. Partner and coordinate effectively with appropriate functional personnel (regional sales, property and program management) and corporate departments (e.g. Property Management, legal) to identify and resolve any obstacles inhibiting the licensing development process. Maintain working files pertaining to licenses/amendments and specific customer requirements. Develop working relationship with external customers and customer attorneys at the appropriate levels in their organizations regarding issues or questions such as, chain of titles, environmentals, verification of pieces of the license, to ensure legal sufficiency and completeness of any and all licensing documents produced. Maintain professional standards throughout all customer and internal contacts. Utilize company databases to develop license/amendment documents, and to retrieve information to generate reports in order to keep the account executive(s), asset manager and other management informed of status of the licenses in the development process. Process special and conditional license agreements working with Crown Corporate Legal to draft applicable language within pre-established parameters and to further finalize appropriate language, as needed. Work with MLA’s and the key terms in these agreements for assigned customers. Prepare rent commencement forms. Secure appropriate signatures and any required customer confirmation and/or supporting documentation necessary to allow Crown to bill the customer in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure that all license/’amendment document packages are provided to Corporate Licensing in a complete and accurate manner in order to allow accurate and timely billing of license agreements. Education/Certifications/Training Bachelor’s Degree Other: Paralegal certification, or equivalent work experience Experience? Three (3) to five (5) years paralegal or real estate experience or educational experience related to these disciplines. Paralegal Certificate preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities? Experience in real estate leasing/licensing related to the cellular industry or equivalent experience Attention to detail in the preparation of documentation Ability to produce complex documents in an efficient manner Ability to multi-task Excellent communication skills Ability to work effectively with a variety of contacts: internal/external, executives, lawyers, various levels of employees Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Knowledge/experience with project tracking and management software (20-20 or similar application) More information on this Job
