Crew Scheduler Compass Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, Inc., is currently seeking Crew Schedulers. As a startup operation, we have an immediate need for someone with exceptional business judgment and discretion as well as the initiative and competence to make a significant contribution to the organization. Job Purpose The Crew Scheduler is responsible for the safety and legality of the Compass Airlines’ flight crewmembers in accordance with 14 CFR 121 Chapter 1 (Federal Aviation Regulations) and Compass Airlines’ Operations Specifications. This position is responsible for keeping current records of crew duty and rest activity. In conjunction with each crew member, the Crew Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that schedules are in compliance with applicable CFRs and labor agreements. They will work with other operational personnel to keep all parties informed of crew rest issues, scheduling conflicts and legality concerns that may arise. Job Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent No previous experience required but preferred Knowledge of Part 91 and Part 121 flight rules Must be at least 18 years of age Able to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language. Legal to work in the United States (A citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work) Job Responsibilities, Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to use Sabre Crew Trac preferred. Must be able to read and understand CFR crewmember legality regulations and apply them on a daily basis. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization. Job Specifics: Position is based in Chantilly, VA. Alternative work schedules, including night and weekend schedules. Typically sitting at a desk or table during work.
