Biometric Engineer ( Melbourne , FL ) Fingerprint Verification solutions are complex systems that acquire and process biometric data from a person’s finger to extract unique features and characteristics. The systems comprise analog sensing and signal processing electronics implemented in full custom ASIC’s together with firmware and software algorithms for biometric feature extraction. Our Company is continually improving its leading edge biometric performance and product cost/performance through innovative designs. Working with silicon, package, software and algorithm development teams. Pay/Benefits: Full time employee, US citizen or Green card holder, FTE benefits, Salary Market Rate DOE, Relocation and/or Bonus possible. Requirements: The biometric engineer will be the central point of knowledge/expertise for biometric performance. He/she will be responsible for driving performance improvements through ongoing evaluation and testing. He/she will serve as a technical interface responding to/addressing biometric issues in the field. Will work closely with the engineering and application solutions teams to identify/understand issues and drive customer problems to closure. Responsibilities: · Works from test department with cross functional engineering teams · Assists in development of tools and infrastructure in support of objectives · Organizes/manages test department biometric testing internally and externally · Compiles and reports Bio-Quality metrics · Centralizes and standardizes all biometric testing and procedures · Analyzes, coordinates and manages resolution of biometric problem tickets · Organizes and monitors internal biometric “on the job” testing · Coordinates interns and other resources assigned to biometric testing Required Education/Experience: · MS in biometric/engineering or related discipline required · Strong foundation in C and/or C++ software programming skills · Outgoing with strong communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to travel required Job Keywords: Florida, Engineering, Jobs, Biometrics, silicon, software, C, ASIC, Fingerprint, Verification, Matlab, Verilog, HDL, BSEE, Engineer www.MarcCrowl.com six figure plus IT Jobs, software, design, engineers, :: www.MarcCrowl.net IT, Software Job.
