Mixed Signal Design Engineer - RF Analog ( Melbourne , FL ) Fingerprint Verification solutions are complex systems that acquire and process biometric data from a person’s finger to extract unique features and characteristics. The systems comprise analog sensing and signal processing electronics implemented in full custom ASIC’s together with firmware and software algorithms for biometric feature extraction. Our Company is continually improving its leading edge biometric performance and product cost/performance through innovative designs. Working with silicon, package, software and algorithm development teams, the systems engineer will model the entire end to end system with the objective of further understanding, characterizing and improving overall system performance. Requirements: This key individual would have the opportunity to actively contribute in every phase of analog mixed-signal design and development for state of the art finger print sensor IC products. In your daily work, you would be responsible for participating in research for next generation finger print sensing architecture and circuit approaches, sensor architecture development, abstract modeling, designing RF, analog, mixed signal and digital circuits, performing simulation and verification on circuits including mixed mode chip level simulation, and schematic entry. You would also be responsible for directing and reviewing layout activity, documentation of the design, conducting design reviews, planning silicon testing and test vector development, silicon debug and generating silicon characterization reports. This position requires a person who is both capable of working independently and in cooperation with others. This person would interact with a highly dynamic group of people from different departments including test engineering, firmware, manufacturing and quality. Responsibilities: · Design and verify RF, analog, mixed signal and digital circuits · Schematic entry and layout supervision and review · Full Chip Mixed Mode simulation and debug · Handle tape-out procedures and documentation · Planning silicon verification strategies and test vector development · Silicon debug and characterization Required Education/Experience: · BSEE with 0 to 5 years of applicable experience · Knowledge of CMOS, VLSI, and RF, analog, and mixed signal circuit design.
