GUI Software Engineer   ( Melbourne , FL ) Fingerprint Verification solutions are complex systems that acquire and process biometric data from a person’s finger to extract unique features and characteristics.  The systems comprise analog sensing and signal processing electronics implemented in full custom ASIC’s together with firmware and software algorithms for biometric feature extraction.  Our Company is continually improving its leading edge biometric performance and product cost/performance through innovative designs.  Working with silicon, package, software and algorithm development teams, the systems engineer will model the entire end to end system with the objective of further understanding, characterizing and improving overall system performance. Pay/Benefits: Full time employee, US citizen or Green card holder, FTE benefits, Salary Market Rate DOE, Relocation and/or Bonus possible.   Requirements:      The GUI Software Engineer will work with R&D developers and artist user groups to design and develop UI and workflows for Windows biometric-based applications. Candidates must have proven experience building effective UI components, conducting usability studies, and incorporating feedback at both the interface and processes level.   This GUI Software Engineer position will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the software design cycle, including definition of requirements, architecture design, construction, verification and QA.   Responsibilities: ·                           Gather UI requirements and create mock-ups to help stakeholders visualize the end-product and understand system workflow/layout. ·                           Work closely with other members of the development team to ensure smooth integration with back-end technologies ·                           Assist/direct the creative aspects of UI component development; ·                           Ensure interfaces that can be extended and updated ·                           Unit test all UI components and work closely with QA on testing ·                           Propose and estimate UI projects for new implementation, optimizations and refactoring. ·                           Provide strong inputs and innovation to the product roadmaps in close collaboration with the Project Lead and product marketing teams.   Required Education/Experience: ·                           BS or MS in a computing related field. ·                           At least 8 years in a software development role. ·                           Strong background in object-oriented design. ·                           Extensive C#/C++ programming experience on Windows-based systems. ·                           A mastery of GUI layout design ·                           A portfolio of past GUI designs ·                           Demonstrated ability to deliver new/creative products ·                           Experience in Microsoft Win 32 API, MFC, ATL, WTL, COM, Active X Controls ·                           Experience with multithreaded application development               Experience using the Agile Development Methodology is a plus ·                           Excellent oral and written communication skills ·                           Experience designing and supporting software for consumer products desired.     Job Keywords: Florida, Engineering, Jobs, Biometrics, silicon, software, C, ASIC, Fingerprint, Verification, Matlab, Verilog, HDL, MSEE, Engineer     www.MarcCrowl.com six figure plus IT Jobs, software, design, engineers,    ::    www.MarcCrowl.net IT, Software Job.
