C MSEE Systems Engineer (Melbourne, FL) Requirements: Fingerprint Verification solutions are complex systems that acquire and process biometric data from a person’s finger to extract unique features and characteristics. The systems comprise analog sensing and signal processing electronics implemented in full custom ASIC’s together with firmware and software algorithms for biometric feature extraction. Our Company is continually improving its leading edge biometric performance and product cost/performance through innovative designs. Working with silicon, package, software and algorithm development teams, the systems engineer will model the entire end to end system with the objective of further understanding, characterizing and improving overall system performance. Pay/Benefits: Full time employee, US citizen or Green card holder, FTE benefits, Salary Market Rate DOE, Relocation and/or Bonus possible. Responsibilities: Refine models of the electrical path through all system components: drive electronics, physical packaging, human fingers, sensing electronics and data acquisition. Characterize/validate models with a mixture of laboratory and simulation work. Simulate signal propagation through system components in the time and other relevant domains. Model/Characterize system signal to noise ratios. Correlate simulation and real world data. Interface simulation and feature extraction algorithms for end to end system modeling. Identify and eliminate system limitations working with the entire team to model potential solutions. Required Education/Experience: · Must have extensive working knowledge of analog electrical networks and behavior in the multi-megahertz region. · Knowledgeable in a variety of continuous time and digital signal processing techniques. · Demonstrated capability of modeling systems in C or C++ and Matlab. · Ability to work with Verilog HDL code a plus. · Minimum MSEE with at least 5 years relevant experience.
