Facebook is seeking a highly experienced Facilities Manager to manage and work on relocation, expansion and renovation projects for practice offices throughout the US. This full-time position is located in our Palo Alto office and will report to the Director of Real Estate. Responsibilities: Work with the local offices, corporate departments and architects to define the scope of work, space planning requirements, design and furniture/equipment needs Prepare and track project budgets, including supporting schedules for construction, change orders, payments, furniture, etc       Monitor construction progress to ensure construction quality and conformity to plan/organizational standards, participating in construction and furniture punch list preparation and follow up Small project management such as space reconfiguration, small construction projects, and remote site setups Manage Facilities vendors (HVAC, security systems, life/safety systems, office supplies, reprographics, etc.) Interact with building property management company and their vendors: elevator, janitorial and landscape services Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and producers that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity Manage the negotiations of new and the maintenance of existing contracts Manage day-to-day operations on all aspects of the building infrastructure, service contracts, landlord relations, and processes related to the Facilities functions Participate and develop plans / services for continuous improvements and be accountable within a budget Coordinate suppliers, vendors, and service contractors as required Supervise staff as assigned Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the full range of duties related to servicing, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing the company’s office properties in the Bay Area Manage internal ticketing system Requirements: College degree or equivalent experience in related area 10 years facilities-related facilities management or related experience Ability to work independently and as a team member Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, growing environment Adaptable, flexible, patient and professional even under tense customer situations Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written Detail-oriented and deadline-driven Strong organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and follow-up Experience in a multi-office environment Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a heavy workload with competing priorities Strong customer service orientation Working knowledge of corporate and project budget processes Strong organizational and management skills Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, design, construction, furniture, accounting and building systems
