Positions are with Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I3) and contracted to the Department of Defense. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Manual comparison of latent prints (on screen) with candidate prints retrieved from ABIS to assist in the establisment or elimination of positive identifications; verification of fingerprints to validate the correct sequence; comparison of facial images to establish or eliminate potential, positive identifications; and comparison of encoded, iris scans to establish or eliminate positive identifications. In addition to these duties, examiners will also process face and iris images following training and certification as a Facial and Iris Recognition Expert by the DoD. Biometric examiners may also be offered an opportunity to undergo an extensive two year training program to become Latent Print Examiners (LPEs) and obtain certification as an LPE through the International Association for Identification. Positions will fill a 24x7 support role in a dynamic environment and require a flexible schedule which may include weekends, nights, and holidays. Requirements: Must: have two years of experience as a tenprint examiner; possess i ntermediate level competency in PhotoShop and Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) ; m eet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security investigation; b e able to successfully pass proficiency testing prior to and periodically during employment with the company; be customer- and detail-oriented in addition to possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with good decision-making abilities; and be willing to relocate to the Clarksburg, WV area. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; current certification by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Tenprint Examiner; and digital imaging experience. EOE
