We deliver the right talent at the right time, bringing successful resolution time and again to the leading corporations, law firms and other organizations we serve.   Duties & Responsibilities: The Consultant will be responsible for:   Working in the identification and up-front evidence collection process of electronic communications in the field and within a corporate forensics lab. Working to de-duplicate, image, verify, analyze and transfer secure data sets from field investigations.   Working to reconstruct medium and very large mail stores to facilitate forensic analysis. Working with off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, and reporting tools. Providing assistance in the implementation of the NY forensics laboratory particularly and reporting. Developing and conducting keyword searches in coordination with the engagement team to identify and tag evidence in electronic discovery efforts. Working within the boundaries of an overall practice methodology and blueprint. Ongoing analysis and deployment of best practices applicable to the handling and analysis of electronic computer forensics. Ongoing analysis of industry technology trends to incorporate proven forensic investigation and supporting technologies into practice. Participation in the development of customer proposals. Assistance in the development of white-papers, published reports, and articles relevant to the field of electronic discovery and reconstruction.         Qualifications & Skill Requirements: Background/Work Experience Required: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Management Information Systems or relevant course work Working knowledge of, or expertise in the following areas: DOS, Windows (all versions), UNIX, and large scale computing platforms (AS/400, Mainframe), Oracle, MS-SQL, MS-Access, MS-Excel, MS-Exchange and Lotus Notes Working knowledge in the following areas:   C++, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, T-SQL SQL programming skills REQUIRED Knowledge of password cracking and file decryption software (PRTK, Rainbow Tables) Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication skills   Additional Experience Preferred but not Required : 0-3 years experience in consulting, litigation support, information systems or financial operations Knowledge or degree in Finance or Accounting Experience with XAnalys Watson a strong plus   Any of the following certifications would be helpful:   (MCDBA, CFE, CPA, GIAC, GCFA, IACIS, CFCE) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FTI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
