ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: We are currently looking for a Director or Managing Director of Securities Litigation with in our national Forensic and Litigation Consulting services practice. Individuals for this position can be based in the following US cities; Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, New York or Washington DC. FTI has been on the forefront of complex securities matters involving both class action lawsuits and claims by individual and institutional investors. By anticipating key issues and the opposition’s strategy, we help defend and pursue claims under the registration and reporting, anti-fraud, and record-keeping provisions of federal securities laws. Our broad securities litigation experience also includes accounting issues related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices and Sarbanes-Oxley Acts. FTI experts work both for and against the government, thereby enhancing our perceived credibility in court. FTI offers top-notch credentials and a national reputation in handling SEC Division of Enforcement inquiries, investigations and enforcement initiatives, including Rule 102(e) proceedings. We have provided consulting and expert witness services in many high profile SEC matters. Our staff is intimately familiar with SEC reporting requirements and provides a proven avenue of communicating with SEC personnel. PRIMARY DUTIES: The Managing Director will serve as the practice leader: · Responsible for establishing marketing plan, targets and acceptable levels of prospect activity. · Deliver presentations on the spectrum of services to potential clients. · Serve as the lead on litigation and forensic investigation engagements. · Hire/Fire employees in the practice area. · Responsible for practice management within an office or region. · Recruit, train, develop and evaluate professional and administrative staff. · Manage client relationships; responsible to identify and develop opportunities to enhance relationships with existing clients/contacts and for new business. · Identify cross marketing opportunities within the FTI practice areas. · Overall engagement responsibilities for multiple assignments. · Manage “teams” of all levels of the professional staff to ensure effective utilization of professional time. · Billing and collecting. · Promote firm and its people through appropriate outside activities, charities, civil activities, professional organizations, etc. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: · Demonstrate support in advancing company and office objectives of profitability, professionalism and teamwork with staff and clients. · Other duties as assigned. SKILLS REQUIRED: · A clear understanding of FTI’s scope of products and expertise within the industry. · Experience in Litigation and forensic accounting assignments. · Self-starter with the ability to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment. · Superior interpersonal, communication, marketing, sales and organizational skills. · Proficiency with PC environment and related software, preferably Microsoft Office. · Ability to travel when requested. Must possess sufficient credit to meet travel requirements of the job (i.e. rental cars, hotel accommodation, meals while on work assignments, etc). · Leadership and management skills.
