The Staff Accountant will support Adknowledge through analysis of sales, operating and financial activity including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis as well as provide reporting and analysis aimed at supporting and improving the business performance. The Staff Accountant will have the following primary duties: General accounting: Hands-on responsibility for accounts receivable and accounts payable for individual subsidiaries. Full account reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts including accruals and prepayments. Maintenance of the fixed asset sub-ledger. Monthly close and preparation of financial statements including analytical review. Budget preparation : Working with channel managers, develop and maintain at least annual budgets and business plans tied to the financial reporting systems. Communication : Provide operating financial statements to the channel manager with explanation of financial results compared to plan. Candidate Overview The successful candidate will an active team member will have: · Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts (accruals, expenditures, purchase requisitions, forecasting, cost benefit analysis, etc). · Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Access, & PowerPoint). · Experience with Great Plains accounting software is a plus. · Advanced knowledge and ability to use Excel for financial and business modeling. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following abilities: Hands-On: Will lead the charge, and lead by example. Good communicator : effective face to face and electronic communication skills and a good listener. Organized: must be able to manage to deadlines and prioritize daily, weekly and monthly tasks. Detail oriented: accuracy and attention to detail is very important in this position. Analytical : Superior critical thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data from multiple sources. Education BS or BA in Business, Accounting, Finance or a minimum. Equivalent work experience & knowledge also acceptable.
