This role will work in a small team with statisticians and developers to create and guide implementation of statistical methods. The core duties for the Senior Statistician are: · Design statistical methods that use billions of records to predict on-line consumer behavior · Design of experiments that compare alternate data groupings and methods · Collaborate with development team to implement statistical systems · Troubleshoot statistical systems · Define methods and metrics to analyze advertising effectiveness CHALLENGES · Developing time-sensitive algorithms to analyze data sets containing billions of records · Creating anlytic products to be used by real-time campaign selection systems · Working in a fast pace, deadline driven environment · Using diverse and changing technologies to meet business and technical goals · Adapting to a continually evolving market QUALIFICATIONS Required: · PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Econometrics or other mathematical field, or MS with equivalent work experience; · 2+ years in data mining, statistical tests; · Expertise in statistical software (R, S-Plus, SAS or similar); Preferred · Prior experience in on-line advertising; · Experience working with datasets containing millions of records; · Non-academic SQL development with any DBMS, Oracle All salary negotiable based upon experience.
