PRIMARY PURPOSE The Software Territory Sales Rep role is to manage and grow software sales within a territory with focus on target accounts to achieve sales and profit goals through client interface, site visits, account planning and teaming, as well as solution development and implementation. May design and recommend sales and marketing programs and assist Sales Management with setting short and long-term software sales strategies within their assigned territory. The Software Territory Sales Rep will maintain a direct line of communication with the Director of Software Sales as well as the Director of Sales for the region assigned in order to maintain a consistent work effort across sales and support teams within their assigned territory. The Primary function of a Software Territory Sales Rep is to drive profitable software sales and service for Insight. The Software Territory Sales Rep will manage and work under limited supervision and is expected to develop ways to accomplish assigned duties within the business practices of Insight. WORK PERFORMED Software Territory Sales Rep responsibilities and duties include: Achieve/exceed mont hly sales targets and gross profit quota Account and Client Management (including but not limited to quarterly & annual reviews) Ability to clearly demonstrate accounts politics and mandates as they relate to software business Demonstrated relationships within Procurement and IT, and at highest levels. Metric and quota driven activity supporting the inside and field sales forces for assigned territory Weekly pipeline and business development reporting Establishing and maintaining strong relationship with Territory Sales Rep(s), Account Rep(s) and Inside Sale Rep(s) within the STSR’s assigned territory Establishing and maintaining strong vendor relationships with key publishers & partners Conducting and delivering professional sales presentations Designing and implementing strategies to accelerate lead generation activities QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Functions of Job · Travel required within assigned territory. · Must be able to travel 70%. · Must have a valid driver’s license MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Edu cation and/or Experience · Minimum 3 years of r elated experience in a Field Sales environment managing accounts of significant size. · Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or related selling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES · Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. · Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. · Ability to write using original or innovative techniques or style. · Ability to make effective and/or persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and/or boards of directors. While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly sit or stand to work at a computer terminal, required to be physically capable to travel for business related meetings, speak on the phone and hear return conversations. The teammate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for computer work, distance vision during business presentations and peripheral vision for safe business travel.
