Legacy porting project VAX to VB.Net
Responsibilities:
• Author code for projects that reside in highly available, clustered environment with strong security concerns
• Communicate with design or code pair on technical decisions
• Present design ideas to dev team for review
• Create supporting technical documentation
• Develop technical designs
• Perform analysis and debugging
• Assist in the development of standards and development methodologies
• Identify potential problems and recommend alternative solutions
• Assist in programming estimates
Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of .NET Framework
• .NET languages/tools (WinForms, C# or VB.Net)
• Strong analysis skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• SQL Server 2000, T-SQL
• BSCS or equivalent, relevant experience
• Experience with regression testing technologies and strategies
• Development and maintenance of entity relationship diagrams
• Experience within the financial or real estate industries
• Experience with any of the following:
• version control software other than Visual SourceSafe
• unit testing software
• Learn Agile Development Methodology
• flexible work hours
• 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)
• High degree of independence
