Senior Programmer Analyst
Position Description:
This position is responsible for participating in the discovery, testing, and coding of customer requirements, with a constant focus on fulfilling a customer need or improving the quality of our applications.
Responsibilities:
Author code for projects that reside in highly available, clustered environment with strong security concerns
• Communicate with design or code pair on technical decisions
• Present design ideas to dev team for review
• Create supporting technical documentation
• Develop technical designs
• Perform analysis and debugging
• Assist in the development of standards and development methodologies
• Identify potential problems and recommend alternative solutions
• Assist in programming estimates
• Complete assigned software development and/or maintenance tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Report the status of assigned software development and/or maintenance tasks
• Work in close cooperation with project managers and other functional team members to form a team effort in development
• Provide 3rd level support
• Follow the software development methodology at all times
Necessary Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of .NET Framework
• .NET language (C# or VB.Net) experience
• Strong analysis skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• SQL Server 2000,
• BSCS or equivalent, relevant experience
Desired Job Requirements: Experience with regression testing technologies and strategies
• Development and maintenance of entity relationship diagrams
• Experience within the financial or real estate industries
• Experience with any of the following:
o version control software other than Visual SourceSafe
o unit testing software
o automated builds
o load testing software
o user acceptance testing software
