SMA Operator - 1000 Sign-On Bonus Lewisville TX US Job at Ericsson


Location: Lewisville, Texas



As a part of establishing a Smart Factory of the Future in the U.S., we are now recruiting SMA (Surface Mount Assembly) operators. The SMA operator will operate SMA equipment and produce boards to be used in 5G radios. The chosen candidates will participate both in new product introductions and in volume production. Other important aspects of the position include participating in the continuous process improvement to drive ever-improving quality and productivity within the production environment.



 



Our Exciting Opportunity:




  • Operate SMA and test equipment to produce SMA boards according to standardized workmanship

  • Check machine readiness

  • Ensure the right components are used in production

  • Conduct continuous monitoring of machine operations



 



In this role you will:




  • Check the conformity of products by performing basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions

  • Clean the SMT machine, tools, and equipment

  • Implement identified improvements

  • Participate in knowledge sharing and learning



 



To be successful in the role, you must have:




  • Participate in knowledge sharing and learning

  • 3 years’ work experience in a SMA production environment

  • Familiarity with Electro-static Discharge precautions

  • High level of communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues

  • Team-player, self-motivated, committed to providing high-quality work

  • High School Diploma (required), relevant technical education and IT skills (preferred)

  • Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required

  • Lift up to 50lbs unassisted

  • Stand entire shift wearing PPE
