Engagement Northwestern State University - LA Job at NCAA


Natchitoches, Louisiana, The Demons Unlimited Foundation (DUF), Northwestern State University’s non-profit fundraising organization, is seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Development and Engagement. This is a full-time job opportunity which includes a base salary and an incentive plan to generate support for NSU’s 14-team Division I athletic program which is a member of The Southland Conference.

The successful candidate will develop and implement a strategic plan to secure private support for the DUF and NSU Athletics through annual and endowment gifts while also having oversight for the N-Club (letter winners club) and coordinating special event fundraisers. NSU is looking for an individual of high character and integrity who is committed to the following - representing the university in a first-class manner, being amenable to travel on a regional and national basis, collaborating with on- and off-campus constituents to identify potential investors and enhancing the image and brand of NSU Athletics.

This position will report directly to the Deputy Athletic Director, who also serves as the Executive Director to the DUF Board of Directors. This individual will also work closely with the Director of Athletics and DUF board members on a regular basis, including submitting reports regarding donor visits and contributions. Attendance at DUF Executive Committee and full board meetings will be expected.

It is the responsibility of all who represent the Northwestern State University athletic department to follow all NCAA, Southland Conference, and institutional regulations and to report any potential issues concerning the regulations.

The position will remain open until filled. Minimum qualifications - bachelor’s degree, with a master’s degree preferred. Fundraising and/or sales experience desired and familiarity with intercollegiate athletics is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with experience with social media account management and a basic level of experience in website design/editing/management and/or graphic design would be beneficial. *Plus Incentive/Bonus Plan
