Surgical Tech PRN - OB Vanderbilt Health Job at SCRD

Nashville, Tennessee, Description Certified Surgical Tech (CST) PRN - OB Role Summary: The Certified Surgical Tech provides proper and efficient care of the patient in the operating room under the direct supervision of the circulating nurse. He/she knows sterile technique, understands basic anatomy and operative procedures. He/she also has knowledge of instruments and equipment used in the operating rooms. Key Responsibilities: Certified Surgical Scrub Tech Sets up sterile field Passes instruments during procedure Assist OR staff as requested Adheres to practices and policies outlined to ensure patient safety and follows infection control standards Department/Unit Summary: The OB department at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital has a total of 18 beds, which consist of 12 post-partum beds and 6 labor beds. Weekend and Holiday Rotation Schedule.
